Casey Bessette

Casey Bessette (Bessie), originally from Lisbon, Connecticut, has lived in Savannah for ten years. She received an M.F.A in Performing Arts from SCAD, and a B.A. in Theatre from Eastern Connecticut State University. Casey has performed in over thirty stage productions, most recently appearing in Tybee Arts Association’s “Almost, Maine” and “Social Security.” When Casey is not acting, she works as a freelance personal trainer and mobility specialist. 

A.Jae Michele

A.Jae Michele (Lee), is a local Actor, Writer, and Dancer, who has spent the last 15 years working and performing in Theatre and Film/Television. She received her MFA in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and has performed in over 40 Stage productions, Theatrical and Short films. She also won Best Actress in the 2022 Savannah short film fest, and is currently nominated as Connect Magazine's "Best Local Actress". If you can't find her on a stage or screen you can catch her teaching Theatre at Savannah State University. Recently, A.Jae wrapped up working on Almost Maine, Anne & Emmett, and Clint Eastwood's Juror #2. She can also be seen as one of the Chefs in the movie The Menu. She would like to thank you all for coming and for your support for the local arts!

Valerie Hartz

Valerie Hartz (Ruth) has been active in the Tybee Arts Theater for over fifteen years.  She's appeared in Blithe Spirit, The Odd Couple (female version)Stepping' Out, The Wizard of Oz, and Steel Magnolias among many others.  

Daniel Bosch

Daniel Bosch (Hank) is a senior at Savannah Country Day School. Some of his favorite roles include Prince Topher in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (SCDS) and Buddy Layman in The Diviners (SCDS). At SCT, he loved playing Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Marius in Les Mis Youth Edition and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. Daniel was honored as Best Actor at the GHSA Regional Competition 2 years running and plans to pursue Musical Theater in college and professionally. He would like to thank his Mom for always supporting him. He is super excited to be working with DJ again and to be a part Marvin’s Room!

Braeden Wright

Braeden Wright (Charlie) has been enjoying his work in theatre since his first camp at Savannah Children's Theater in 2019.  A tireless theatre addict since that time, some of his favorite roles have been Chip in Beauty and the Beast (SCT), Billy in Honk!, Jr. (SCT), and Tad in Finding Nemo, Jr. (SCT) as well as working in much loved productions of Mary Poppins & The Wizard of Oz! He is delighted to be a part of this production of Marvin's Room and bring Charlie to life!

Wade Gonsoulin

Wade Gonsoulin (Dr. Wally) is appearing for the second time with the Tybee Arts Association, having last appeared in its production of Almost Maine. Wade is an actor/director from Houston, Texas, where he spent most of his adult life involved in the local Theatre community. Some of his past work includes appearances in The Crucible (UST), The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Theatre Southwest), Twelve Angry Men (Upstage), Brilliant Traces (Country Playhouse), and The Drawer Boy (Queensbury Theatre). Wade also lived in Germany for several years performing in Run For Your Wife (Keller Theatre) and And Then There Were None (FEST). He also directed a production of Brilliant Traces. Wade wishes to thank TAA for the chance to work with this talented and dedicated group of Theatre addicts.

Michelle Hellinger

Michelle Hellinger is thrilled to be back at Tybee Arts Association! She hails from Jeffersonville, Indiana and by day is a licensed Civil Engineer working as a Program Manager. Michelle has dabbled in theatre as a creative outlet from all the math and science for what seems like “forever”. She started out performing in high school productions and performed in The Kitchen Witches and Dead and Deader at the Market House Theatre. While living in Germany, she performed with the Amelia Earhart Playhouse in Puffs and with Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre in And Then There Were None and The Scheme which was also featured at the 2022 FEATS in Luxembourg. She appeared most recently in Almost Maine at TAA.

Larry Adams

Larry Adams (Marvin/Bob) got his first taste of theater in a1969 production of The Crucible. Then he vagabonded drama classes at GSU in 1969-70 and got as far as rehearsals for Feiffer’s People at GSU before having to move on to Brown University for college. He graduated Brown with a BA in English and American Literature in 1975. Much of Larry’s work career was spent in photography and writing, where he had careers as a photographer, then as a magazine and newspaper writer. His interest in acting was revived after moving to Tybee Island in 2018, but a series of unfortunate events such as Covid, resulted in cancelled Tybee Arts Association productions of Dearly Departed and The Bad Seed. He finally got a chance to be on stage in 2024 in the TAA production of Social Security.

Cameron Walker

Cameron Walker (Stage Manager/Sound Op) is a 29-year-old Savannah, Ga native, elementary school teacher, and musical theatre lover. This is the first show he has ever stage managed and is very excited to be a part of the journey of creating the show!

Lisa Teams

Lisa Team (Props Manager) primary exposure to theatre has been through her two daughters, both of whom have been active in theatre at Savannah Country Day, The Savannah Children’s Theatre, and in college. Lisa serves as the Assistant to the Head of School at Country Day where she’s managed school events for 24 years. Outside of work Lisa enjoys reading and snow skiing. This is her first foray into the backstage world and she’s grateful to DJ for taking a chance on her.

Renee' DeRossett

Renee' DeRossett  (Lighting Design/Production Manager) has been acting most of her life and has worked with TAA (acting/directing/board member) for the past 25 years. Renée is also an animal wrangler in the film industry, but her passion has always been the theater. Some of her favorite TAA acting performances include those in "Blithe Spirit" (2013), "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" (2015), "Lips Together, Teeth Apart" (2019), "The Odd Couple Female Version" (2019), "Savannah Sipping Society" (2021), "Prelude to a Kiss" (2022), "Social Security" (2024) and "Almost Maine" (2024) to name a few. Directorial favorites include "The Wizard of Oz" (2012), "Steel Magnolias" (2014), "Sordid Lives" (2014) and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (2019).  Renée has been sharing the stage with her partner Kim Trammell since 2007 and is looking forward to directing the show "After Play" for the Tybee Arts Association in September. 

Jennifer Palmer

Jennifer Palmer (Light Board Op) is a 4th generation Tybee gal. She started working with Renee DeRossett when her son was 5 years old and was the hedgehog in Alice in Wonderland (2005) and has enjoyed being a stage mom with Renee and Kim Trammell ever since. She has done tech for The Odd Couple (2019), Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (2020), Prelude to a Kiss (2022), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2024), among others. She's proud to be asked to be part of the cool kids' crowd.

Kelly Jones

Kelly Jones (Costume Coordinator) is an avid supporter of all things Art. She has served on the board of Tybee Arts Association for the past four years, currently serving as President, and is one of the directors of Tybee Tour de Art. Most days you can find her happily playing in clay as the artist behind Sea Salt Ceramics.

DJ Queenan

DJ Queenan (Director) has been teaching and directing theatre since 1985. Founder & Artistic Director of "Bangers & Mash Theatre Works", some of his favorite projects have been Agnes of God (BMT), Lips Together, Teeth Apart (BMT), Once on this Island (CAT), Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida (CAT), Six Degrees of Separation (CAT), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night (SCDS) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (TAA).
